The organizational unit University Computing Centre (HRZ) is a central institution of the Jade University of Applied Sciences, which provides services for its members on the basis of existing Regulations & Contracts provides services for its members and affiliates. According to the current Organization, the HRZ is divided into 4 areas

• Area 1: IT infrastructures
• Area 2: Central IT Services
• Area 3: University Management Systems
• Area 4: Purchasing, Licenses, budget, Service Desk and special tasks

We provide our services in 17 service groups in these 4 areas.

In the Area IT-Infrastructures services of the following service groups are provided:

• data centre
• Communication systems
• network infrastructure

In Area Central IT Services, services of the following service groups are provided:

• Cloud services (Academic Cloud, Collaboration Cloud, Microsoft 365)
• On-Premise Server
• PC technology
• PC network system
• PC rooms (pool rooms)
• Software provisioning
• Virtual desktops
• Web server

In the Area University Management Systems services of the following service groups are provided:

• Campus management systems
• Chip card management systems
• Research management systems
• Identity management systems
• Projects and organization
• Student Life-Cycle Systems
• University administration systems

The Purchasing, Licenses, budget, Service Desk area provides services in the following service groups:

• Purchasing
• Licenses
• budget
• Service Desk

The HRZ is responsible for the conceptual support of these Institutes as a special assignment on the instructions of the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture.
