- Security Digital, electronic e-mail signatures and the encryption of e-mails can be used to increase security in the e-mail sector. To be able to use these, a digital user certificate is required. During the creation process, a digital key pair is generated which is confirmed by a certification authority. This key pair consists of 2 parts, the private and the public key:

- eIDentity Portal The Jade eIDentity Portal offers the following functions, among others: View and manage user account Your access data: Display your access data for the IT systems of the University Computer Centre. Email Quota: Increase your email quota in the Jade University email system.

- User accounts According to the Regulations & Contracts, every user account goes through the application, deactivation and final deletion of the lifecycle of a user account. The Application for a user account is carried out by various Jade University institutions at the University Computer Centre. Please contact the respective institution to apply for your user account.

- Wi-Fi The computing centre of the Jade University offers the use of wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) via eduroam for all members of the university. eduroam is a worldwide infrastructure for Wi-Fi access. With the uniformly used SSID „eduroam“, a member of a participating organization can use Wi-Fi access at all other eduroam participants.
